The National NGOs Center for Population & Development (NCPD) is a non-governmental, non-profit body, legally registered at the Ministry of Social Affairs (MOSA) by decree No. 481/2000. NCPD provides technical assistance to local NGOs through networking, capacity building, developing project proposals and Fund raising in order to be able to sustain themselves. NCPD has a group of volunteers acting as a think tank under the title "NCPD FORUMS". Moreover NCPD has an Information Resource Center that provides information services to local NGOs, acting as an Internet Services Provider (ISP) and develop databases. NCPD is working very closely with the governors and local authorities, the General Federation NGOs, and all NGOs working at the field of "Population & Development". NCPD started its work within the framework of the National NGOs Commission for Population and Development which had been registered by ministerial decrees No. 8/1995 and No. 31/1996 issued by the minister of Health and Population, until it was legally registered at the Ministry of Social Affairs on 31 October 2000 as a special NGO institution . The Board members of the Center is composed of 15 members
